OUR UN-CIVIL RIGHTS COMMISSIONER. Greg Piper has a good post today over at The Smoking Room about The US Civil Rights Commission and outgoing Commission Chair Mary Frances Berry's apparent attempts to overstay her appointment. It seems the idea of bowing out gracefully simply doesn't resonate with Ms. Berry. Piper links to an article in today's Washington Times that raises the possibilty of dueling Commission Chairs, should Ms. Berry refuse to leave when she is supposed to.

This could likely break into a big media story. Commissioner Peter Kirsanow has some tough words for Ms. Berry in an op-ed at National Review Online. Kirsanow paints a very sad and disappointing picture of how the Commission has been operating under Ms. Berry.

It looks as if change in leadership could not be more welcome. And the sooner the better.
