ANOTHER "OH THE HUMANITY" MOMENT FOR THE 'HAWKS. Last night's Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field was a delight to watch from my couch at home. But it proved to be yet another tough loss for the Seahawks, as the Cowboys came away with a 43-39 victory. (Details here.)

What would've been a great comeback for the Seahawks was spoiled by an even greater comeback for the Cowboys. But nothing can take away from the fourth quarter touchdown run that Shawn Alexander toughed out. It was Alexander's fourth season with 15+ touchdowns--an NFL record. Also memorable were some key passes caught by future-hall-of-famer Jerry Rice. One has to admire his competitive spirit. There are few men, past or present who would merit the number 80 in Seattle and Rice is one of them. It was a class act for Steve Largent to let Jerry Rice take that number, but Rice is probably the best receiver of all-time and I'm proud to have him as a Seahawk. Indeed, one of the reason I continue to pull for this team is that I believe that they have some of the best guys around in Alexander, Rice, Matt Hasselbeck, Trent Dilfer, Matt Strong and others.

I can get past this loss. And I tell you, I'm going to go catch a game in person before this season runs out.
